Minimalist photo, when less gives more
I have started to test my way to find a more minimalist style in my photo. Finding color and shape. Prioritize it instead of following rules. It is liberating to let loose a little and create different images. I think you also should try to find it simple and create more free pictures.
One way is to use the camera you always have with you. The cellphone is working and i have created a group for it at Ipernity. Come and join in wether you take complex compositions or a more minimalistic thinking is your interest
Miksang is one way to approach photography from a more meditative angle. Brian Auer has also written about minimalist photo and 
I think you also will find that there is plenty to learn here. New worlds to discover when you are more free in your thinking. While I think that there is a rigor and simplicity that is interesting.
It is difficult to see the pure and simple and then capture it in an interesting way. Are you stuck in habitual patterns, it is a good way to move forward on.
