Simple Image Editing with PhotoFiltre
PhotoFiltre is a image editing program. I told about it in a previous post. I think it’s a good program because it is easy to make simple edits and is not as heavy as, as an example Photoshop. What most people need in an editing program is also easily accessible. You can see this on the image to the toolbar contains the most basic.
Far left, you have Auto-Level, and really, you do not understand it more than that adjusts the brightness of the image. Usually, there is a clear improvement and sometimes it becomes funny. This may be trial and error as experimentation.
Brightness adjusts the amount of light that should be in the picture. Drag it up here for the picture becomes very pale. I would rather use Gamma to get the picture lighter or darker.
Contrast can be a way to balance and get a sharper-contrast in the image. Gamma with contrast can sometimes be enough to lift an image.
Saturation determines the brightness of the colors in the image. Here you can get the colors closer to the truth or artificially colored. Here we reflect on what you like with their image. Lifelike or highlight the image. Too much saturation destroys the credibility of the image.
Gamma is between the notes and I think a good easy way to adjust the brightness of the image without making it pale.
Softness is a way to get what you have selected to receive a soft tone. This can be used if you have made changes in the image that you want to soften the edges.
Sharpness as the digital images so far, depending on the technique of CCD elements do not really create a razor sharp image that serves almost always the image of being tightened up a little.
Rotate the image, you also need to do quite often. Many pictures win that you hold the camera vertically and then you have to rotate the image in the editor.
Moreover, it is good that you can change the image size. The size of the image also makes a lot of file size. The new cameras have very high resolution which means that the raw images are very large. Then you must reduce the case you will mail the picture to a friend. You will find the feature on the top line and when you press the button will pop-up screen where you can resize.
The easiest way to do this is that you set the mouse cursor and click in the width box. Here you can easily just type in the width you want in the picture. If you want a pretty picture okay so is 800 for a moderate width. You should have the “Maintain image proportions” unchecked.
